Oyster – “Netflix for Books”


So, anytime I’m on the tablet looking at Facebook or any website, random apps will pop up suggesting I would like them. Today, it suggested Oyster, “Netflix for Books”. Since I enjoy reading, but have never found a really good app for books, it intrigued me. You get a 30-day free trial and after the trial it is $9.95/monthly. A credit card’s, just don’t forget to cancel before your 30-day if you decide it’s not for you.

I was glancing through it and I’m amazed at there were so many categories and such a variety of books. There is everything from New York Times Best Sellers (Angela’s Ashes by Frank McCourt), Children’s (Wreck It Ralph by Disney and Boxcar Children by Gertrude Chandler Warner), Classics (The Yearling by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings) and there is even a list of Banned Books (Catch 22 by Joseph Heller).
